2022 Honda Pilot Redesign
2022 Honda Pilot Redesign– According to our inside, Honda is starting to work on the next generation of pilots already. However, the redesigned three-row crossover SUV won’t be introduced before 2022, so there’s plenty of waiting times ahead. Although in the early stages of development at this time, we have managed to find out some important details regarding the Honda Pilot 2022.
First of all, a big crossover will get bigger will add extra inches of length and between wheels, so we expect extra space inside. The extra space will reportedly be used for enlarged cargo space and cozier second and third-row seats. Of course, automakers won’t miss an opportunity to upgrade cabins, so you can expect better quality materials throughout the cabin, as well as the manufacturer’s latest technology. The 2022 pilot will surely ditch the latest Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance features that currently include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning with the help of lane-keep steering. Interestingly, the word on the road is that this new model will gain a high degree of autonomy in the form of level 4 autonomous driving capabilities. That is, the SUV will be able to handle most of the driving situation itself.
Because in the early stages of development, it is too early to know how exactly it will look like the Honda Pilot 2022. However, taking into account what automakers are doing with recently refreshed models, we think we know what the future purpose of honda’s design team is. If they live on the same course, and we think they will, then the next generation models will look even less like minivans and more like proper modern SUVs.
Performance-wise, Pilot 2022 is expected to get a new generation V6 engine. More powerful and efficient units are currently under development, so we don’t know the details. The latest rumors, however, claim more than 300 horsepower and raise MPG for future plants. Of course, the crossover will continue to use an all-wheel-drive system that will get power through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Although some speculative sites suggest that there is a PHEV Pilot going on as well, we don’t have solid information about it at the moment. However, we’d like to see a popular three-line SUV with some electricity connected to its wheels.
Honda Pilot 2022 Price
For 2022, the Honda Pilot now comes standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Pilots also get a new Special Edition (SE) trim level that will slot between EX-L and Touring trims. To date, Honda Pilot buyers have had to opt to tour or Elite trim levels to get an excellent nine-speed automatic transmission; the lower-trim has six speeds. Not anymore; for 2022, nine automatic speeds now come standard in the Pilot lineup, starting with the $33,370 entry-level LX. That starting price is a $600 jump from the model out of the year.
Shifting paddles, dual-zone climate control, and stop-start systems have also been made standard for 2022. This coming year, The Pilot also sees the addition of a Special Edition (SE) trim between the EX-L and Touring trim levels, which starts at $40,080. The SE is a built-in ex-L and includes black 20-inch wheels, foot-activated power tailgates, and wireless chargers. The price of adding an all-wheel-drive to one of the trims has increased by $100 to $2000.
Throughout the trim, price increases vary from about $300 to $500, as Honda doesn’t make major changes to SUVs. The V-6 engine, which produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, remains in the Pilot.
